Relatives of Malaysians currently missing in Nepal are urging the government to grant their representatives entry into the National Security Council’s operations center. Representing 49 of the 55 affected families, spokesperson Manivannan Rethinam stated that current daily briefings from the foreign ministry lack sufficient detail and fail to address their needs. The group emphasized that this request is not intended to disrupt search efforts or seize operational control. Instead, they seek a collaborative approach to facilitate two-way communication and improve transparency. By participating directly, the families believe they can provide vital information that might assist search teams in locating their loved ones. The group is calling for better coordination with authorities to ensure that all available resources and insights are effectively utilized during the ongoing search mission.
