The Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced that the country hosted 21.28 million international travelers between January 1 and September 5. This influx of visitors resulted in approximately 1.04 trillion baht in revenue. Despite these figures, total arrivals represent a 3.12% decline compared to the same timeframe in the previous year. China continues to be the primary source of tourism for Thailand, contributing nearly 3.6 million visitors, followed by Malaysia, India, Russia, and South Korea. Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul noted that recent data indicates a deceleration in the tourism sector as the summer holiday season concludes. The government continues to monitor these trends as it evaluates the overall performance of the industry for the year.
