Hong Kong national security authorities have taken three individuals back into custody on suspicion of sedition. The arrests follow an incident on August 31, during which the group gathered outside Prince Edward MTR station to mark the anniversary of a 2019 police operation. According to an official police statement, the suspects—two men and one woman ranging in age from 33 to 79—were observed holding flowers and chanting slogans deemed seditious by officials. Authorities allege that the group engaged in spreading misinformation and disparaging both the government and law enforcement agencies. This latest action by the National Security Department follows an initial apprehension of the trio at the same location. The investigation into their activities remains ongoing as officials continue to monitor public commemorations related to the 2019 civil unrest.
