Despite heavy rains and chilly conditions caused by the Southwest Monsoon, visitors have continued traveling to Baguio City, leaving local hotels nearly fully booked over the weekend. Many travelers, including families from lowland areas and overseas workers on limited leave, chose to proceed with their scheduled trips. Meanwhile, the continuous downpours have caused localized flooding and property damage across the region. Incidents in Baguio included flooded sections along Naguilian Road as well as residential damage from a fallen tree in Camp 7 and collapsing bamboo in Barangay Irisan. In neighboring Benguet, floodwaters surged across a highway in Atok, while boulder falls along the Bontoc-Kalinga National Road in Mountain Province prompted landslide alerts for motorists. Furthermore, rising reservoir levels led operators to begin releasing water from the Ambuklao and Binga dams.
