Tribhuvan University is set to decentralize its graduation proceedings by hosting convocation ceremonies in each of Nepal's seven provinces. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden on students who previously had to travel to Kathmandu for these events. While the primary convocation remains scheduled for January 2027 in the capital, subsequent provincial events will be organized thereafter. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa confirmed that regional examination offices will be restructured to facilitate these local gatherings. Each province will establish a dedicated committee, led by regional office heads, to oversee logistics, including the selection of appropriate venues such as public spaces or local campuses. Consultations regarding this transition have already commenced, with university leadership reporting favorable feedback from regional stakeholders as they prepare for this significant administrative shift.
