At the latest Council of Foreign Ministers session, Bangladesh expressed the need for a more effective and updated Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This request for institutional reform arrives as the Middle East faces heightened tensions that threaten international security and the flow of global commerce. Dhaka pointed out that the current geopolitical instability and its impact on supply chains necessitate a more resilient OIC to support the Muslim Ummah. By pushing for modernization, Bangladesh seeks to enhance the organization's capacity to navigate complex global crises and maintain regional peace during these volatile times.
