A 67-year-old passenger, Arthur Lundeen, was arrested after causing a disturbance on an American Airlines flight from Dallas to Baltimore. Witnesses reported that the man appeared intoxicated and began shouting racial and homophobic slurs at fellow travelers. The situation escalated when he physically assaulted a passenger and a woman attempting to intervene. To maintain safety, flight crew members and passengers used duct tape and zip ties to secure the man to his seat for the remainder of the journey. Upon landing, Maryland Transportation Authority Police took the individual into custody on state charges, including assault and disorderly conduct. Both the FBI and the Federal Aviation Administration have launched investigations into the incident. This event adds to a growing number of unruly passenger reports handled by aviation authorities, which can result in significant federal fines and criminal prosecution.
