Airbus projects that the global civil aviation services sector will double in value to 422 billion dollars by 2045. This growth is driven by a significant expansion of the worldwide aircraft fleet, which is expected to reach over 45,000 planes. Consequently, the industry will require approximately 2.44 million new personnel, including pilots and technicians. Maintenance remains the primary market segment, while digital solutions and connectivity are anticipated to experience the fastest growth rates. Airbus also notes that the secondary market for used aircraft components will play a vital role in managing supply chain challenges. Regional demand will be led by Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, North America, and China, as the total number of global air passengers is projected to climb to 10 billion over the next two decades.
