Authorities in Jeju, South Korea, are conducting an investigation into the murder of a woman in her forties who was killed by a former romantic partner. The victim had previously contacted law enforcement on four separate occasions to report the suspect for stalking. The incident took place early Monday morning when the assailant forced the woman into a vehicle and stabbed her. After discarding the victim from the car, the perpetrator fled the scene. Although bystanders attempted to assist the woman and summoned emergency services, she later died from her injuries at a hospital. Police successfully located and apprehended the suspect, a man in his sixties, approximately three hours after the attack occurred at a location seven kilometers away from the crime scene.
