Treasury Secretary-General Tan Sri Johan Mahmood Merican has called upon Finance Ministry staff to embrace the 'Amanah, Tangkas dan Mudah Cara' (ATM) framework. This strategy, which translates to Trust, Agility, and Facilitation, aims to improve governance and expedite the execution of policies associated with Budget 2027. During the ministry's monthly assembly, attended by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Merican emphasized that the ministry must serve as a model for other government agencies regarding financial management. He highlighted that trust is essential for maintaining transparency and integrity in public spending. By adopting these principles, the ministry intends to ensure that all allocated government funds are utilized efficiently to provide maximum benefits to the public, reinforcing the importance of accountability in national financial operations.
