Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has confirmed that the tusker named Agbo has been found in good health following an intensive search operation. The animal, which had previously been reported as injured, was the subject of a coordinated effort involving both wildlife conservation officers and members of the armed forces. A joint team consisting of 65 soldiers and 10 wildlife officials conducted a search in the Nachchaduwa region to secure the elephant's safety. Premadasa expressed his appreciation for the successful outcome and commended the personnel from the Department of Wildlife Conservation and the military for their contributions to the mission. The discovery concludes a period of concern regarding the tusker's wellbeing after initial reports suggested the animal was suffering from injuries.
