Participants at the Catalonia-Quebec-Korea Architecture Forum suggested that Seoul could improve its urban environment by adopting climate-resilient building techniques from Quebec and pedestrian-friendly urban planning models from Barcelona. Conversely, experts noted that international counterparts might benefit from studying Seoul’s efficient public transit systems and its approach to urban renewal projects. As global cities grapple with the dual challenges of increasing population density and rising temperatures, architects emphasized that future residential developments must prioritize the creation of high-quality public spaces. Furthermore, the forum highlighted the importance of maintaining the unique character of local neighborhoods while implementing modern infrastructure upgrades. This collaborative dialogue aims to foster sustainable urban growth by integrating diverse global practices into local city planning policies.
