BigSpark by Gateway has announced its upcoming Robotics Competition and STEAM Activity Day, scheduled for October 18, 2026, at the BMICH in Colombo. This event aims to provide students with practical exposure to artificial intelligence, coding, robotics, and various creative technologies. Since its inception in 2019, the program has served as an educational platform that encourages children to engage with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics outside of standard academic settings. By fostering teamwork and hands-on experimentation, the initiative helps participants grasp the influence of modern technology on contemporary society. Having previously drawn over 500 students from various schools throughout Sri Lanka, the 2026 edition will specifically highlight emerging tech trends to better prepare the next generation of innovators for a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
