According to a report by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has turned down an offer from Israel to assist in the ongoing military campaign against Houthi forces in Yemen. Despite attempts by Israel to facilitate this cooperation through American diplomatic channels, the Saudi leadership reportedly remains uninterested. Sources cited by the publication suggest that Riyadh is concerned that any overt military collaboration with Israel could trigger domestic backlash among the Saudi population. Furthermore, Israel had viewed this potential partnership as a strategic opportunity to improve bilateral relations and potentially accelerate future normalization efforts. As of now, Saudi officials have not issued a formal statement regarding these claims. Saudi Arabia currently maintains no official diplomatic ties with Israel, consistently stating that any progress toward normalization is contingent upon a resolution to the Palestinian issue.
