Prosecutors in Pattaya have officially charged Australian citizen Simon Peter Carman in connection with the death of a 17-year-old Thai girl. The victim's body was discovered inside a suitcase near railway tracks last June, shortly after she was reported missing following her entry into a Jomtien condominium. The charges filed at the Pattaya Provincial Court include intentional homicide, the concealment or relocation of a corpse to obscure the cause of death, and two counts related to the abduction of a minor for sexual purposes. During his initial court appearance on September 18, the defendant maintained his innocence regarding the allegations. The legal proceedings are currently ongoing as the court processes the formal indictment.
