A joint investigation by the Singapore Police Force and the Ministry of Manpower has concluded that there is no evidence of fraud or deception regarding a work injury claim filed by a former employee of EatGreen Pte. Ltd., the operator of Sumo Salad. The inquiry was initiated following public allegations made in 2025 by the company's late owner, who claimed the staff member had staged a fall to secure a fraudulent claim shortly before their contract concluded. Following a thorough review, law enforcement officials determined that no criminal offense was committed. Consequently, the authorities have decided to take no further action against the individual, and the work injury claim will proceed through the standard processing channels.
