Experts argue that the country should prioritize carbon reduction, viewing it as a vital component for enhancing energy security, public health, and industrial competitiveness rather than merely a global obligation. Transitioning toward lower emissions can simultaneously foster economic growth by lowering production expenses and decreasing reliance on imported fuels. The primary obstacle currently facing the nation is the need to consolidate various isolated environmental efforts into a unified, national policy framework. Establishing clear, measurable objectives and ensuring their rigorous execution is essential for achieving sustainable development while improving overall air quality and generating new job opportunities across the country.
