Intense rainfall throughout the night of September 10 resulted in significant flooding across several districts in Pattaya. By approximately 11:00 PM, four major locations were impacted, including sections of Sukhumvit Road near Lotus South Pattaya, the Moom Aroi intersection, the railway road situated behind Wat Tham, and the Nong Yai Soi 2 junction. The rising water levels caused numerous vehicles to stall, leading to severe traffic congestion and hazardous conditions for both drivers and pedestrians. Additionally, the flooding affected residential areas, with water infiltrating various low-lying homes. In response to the emergency, local authorities were dispatched to the scene to facilitate traffic flow and provide assistance to stranded motorists. Although water levels eventually began to recede, the incident underscored ongoing concerns regarding the city's drainage capacity during periods of heavy precipitation.
