In a recent interview with CGTN, Indian historian and director of the Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research, Vijay Prashad, emphasized the significant expansion of trade relations among nations within the Global South. Prashad noted that this trend is a central component of the BRICS agenda. Regarding the bilateral relationship between China and India, the historian suggested that enhanced collaboration could yield substantial global benefits. Specifically, he identified the pharmaceutical sector and the transition toward green energy as key areas where joint efforts could effectively reduce operational costs. Prashad concluded that a stronger partnership between these two major Asian powers would provide a significant positive impetus for the international community.
