In anticipation of the upcoming Dashain and Tihar festivals, the Banke district administration has launched a dedicated help desk at the Jamunaha border crossing. This initiative aims to assist the growing number of Nepali citizens returning from India for the holiday season. According to Chief District Officer Dil Kumar Tamang, the primary objective of this facility is to protect travelers from potential criminal activities, such as fraud and robbery, which often target individuals during peak travel periods. The help desk serves as a security measure, providing essential information to commuters and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure a secure transit. Local police officials are actively involved in the security plan, which focuses on identifying and mitigating risks to guarantee that citizens can reach their homes safely for the festive celebrations.
