The Tangal location of Bhatbhateni Supermarket has officially resumed operations following a period of closure due to significant arson damage sustained during last year's youth-led protests. Chairman and Managing Director Min Bahadur Gurung presided over the reopening ceremony on Monday morning. According to company leadership, this facility marks the tenth of twelve damaged branches to be restored and reopened across Nepal. Reconstruction efforts are currently nearing completion at the remaining two sites in Damak and Hetauda. During the inauguration, Gurung reflected on the financial losses incurred during the unrest, describing the rebuilding process as a challenging endeavor that required significant resilience. The return of the Tangal store provides local residents with renewed access to essential retail goods, alleviating previous difficulties in sourcing daily necessities.
