President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has officially designated specific dates as special non-working holidays for several locations in the Philippines. According to Proclamation No. 1445, these observances are intended to facilitate local participation in anniversary and cultural festivities. The affected regions include the province of Tawi-Tawi, the municipality of Lumban located in Laguna, as well as seventeen distinct municipalities spread across Camarines Sur and Masbate. For Tawi-Tawi, the designated date is September 23, 2026. These executive orders aim to provide residents the opportunity to engage fully in their respective local celebrations and community events.
