Recent drone attacks targeting Yandex data centers in Russia have caused significant technical outages for users in Uzbekistan. On October 11, the Yandex Go application experienced several hours of downtime, preventing customers from booking taxis or tracking public transport. Yandex officials explained that the disruptions stem from the company's distributed computing infrastructure, where failures in one location force workloads onto other servers, leading to system errors. Similar issues were reported in neighboring Kazakhstan and affected other platforms like Uzum Market following earlier strikes in Ryazan, Kaluga, and Vladimir. While Yandex confirmed that user data remains protected under local laws, the company is currently working to restore full functionality. Despite these complications, other services such as Yandex Maps and Navigator have continued to operate without interruption.
