Egyptian authorities have agreed to postpone the implementation of stricter entry regulations for citizens of Uzbekistan until March 1, 2027. This extension resulted from diplomatic negotiations led by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its embassy in Egypt. Under the current arrangement, Uzbek nationals can still access the Sinai Peninsula, including the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, without obtaining a visa in advance. The more rigorous rules, which were originally scheduled to begin on November 1, would have required travelers to secure visas beforehand, use authorized tour operators, and meet specific age and financial criteria. Uzbekistan’s government has advised its citizens to continue respecting the laws and traditions of host countries to support the nation's global standing.
