A 41-year-old former captain in the Singapore Armed Forces has been handed a 17-month prison sentence following his conviction for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy. The incident occurred at a carpark located in Punggol. Chaw Chia Jun entered guilty pleas for two counts of sexual penetration involving a minor under the age of 16, as well as one count related to the production of child abuse material. His accomplice in the case, a 26-year-old former navy chef named Owen Toh Wei Song, previously received a 12-month jail term in September for his role in the sexual penetration of the same minor. Legal documents indicate that additional charges were considered during the sentencing process for both individuals involved in the criminal activity.
