Prime Minister’s Information and Broadcasting Adviser Zahed Ur Rahman recently commented on the assault of actor Azmeri Haque Badhon in Italy. During a press briefing at the Secretariat, Rahman suggested that the incident should be viewed as a badge of honor, arguing that facing opposition from the Awami League and associated groups indicates that the actor is acting with integrity. The adviser emphasized that the government is actively pursuing legal avenues in Italy to address the attack. He stated clearly that the authorities intend to hold the perpetrators accountable and will not allow the incident to be ignored or dismissed without formal action.
