The 2026 International Deep Space Exploration Conference commenced this Thursday in Hefei, Anhui Province, drawing representatives from more than 40 nations. During the inaugural event, the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory announced the establishment of the Moon Village Center - China, alongside four new collaborative research facilities. These laboratories are designed to facilitate partnerships between Chinese and global scientists to address critical technical obstacles in space exploration. Driss El Hadani, representing the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, emphasized the importance of such multilateral cooperation as global activities in the space sector continue to expand. The event highlights China's ongoing commitment to fostering international synergy in the pursuit of space discovery.
