During the 27th session of the impeachment trial against Vice President Sara Duterte, the House prosecution team announced the withdrawal of Civil Service Commission Assistant Commissioner Ariel Ronquillo as a witness. Prosecutor Terry Ridon explained that Ronquillo's planned testimony was considered repetitive following the evidence provided by former Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang and Ombudsman official Karen Batu. Consequently, the prosecution shifted its focus to Securities and Exchange Commission director Gerardo del Rosario. Del Rosario is expected to verify official documents regarding business entities linked to the Vice President, which will serve as the primary evidence for the day's proceedings as the prosecution continues to build its case.
