Educational institutions in specific regions of Luzon have announced the suspension of face-to-face instruction for Wednesday, September 9. This decision follows ongoing weather disturbances caused by the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued a forecast indicating that the monsoon will likely persist, resulting in heavy rainfall across both Luzon and the Visayas throughout the day. Local authorities implemented these cancellations to ensure the safety of students and staff amidst the adverse weather conditions expected to affect these areas.
