Cyclone Arnab made landfall between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning, bringing intense winds and heavy rainfall to the Andhra Pradesh coast. In response to the storm, authorities cancelled or modified 22 train services scheduled between October 27 and November 5, 2026. Passengers are urged to verify travel details through official railway portals. While the cyclone has begun to weaken after moving inland, disaster response teams remain active in the region. The state government has reported no loss of life, though coastal infrastructure, including roads near Kakinada, sustained damage from high-intensity waves. Additional NDRF units have been deployed to assist with ongoing relief and restoration efforts as the weather system continues to lose intensity.
