Gholamhossein Darzi, the Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations, has formally requested that the International Atomic Energy Agency maintain a higher standard of objectivity in its documentation. During his recent statements, the diplomat emphasized that the agency must prioritize factual accuracy and technical precision over political considerations. According to the ambassador, the long-term reputation and institutional credibility of the IAEA are fundamentally linked to its ability to remain neutral and strictly adhere to its professional mandate. By avoiding external influence, the agency can ensure that its reports reflect reality rather than geopolitical agendas, a move Iran argues is essential for the organization's continued effectiveness on the international stage.
