Johor Menteri Besar Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi recently participated in the JB Festival 2026, a five-day event held at Dataran 0KM and Jalan Dato’ Onn. This initiative highlights the successful urban renewal of Johor Bahru’s city centre, supported by a RM25 million investment in infrastructure. Running from September 16 to 20, 2026, the festival featured a diverse array of activities, including traditional cultural performances like zapin and ghazal, sports events such as the 0KM Neon Fun Run, and the Sarong Train. The celebration also included a light show at the City Hall and fireworks. Beyond the entertainment, the festival provided a platform for local vendors to showcase their goods and food, stimulating economic activity in the area. Officials emphasized the importance of these efforts in fostering community engagement and creating sustainable commercial opportunities for local businesses within the revitalized urban space.
