Authorities initiated the investigation, codenamed Bravo Golf, following intelligence reports regarding illicit activities involving Chinese citizens. After verifying the tip-off and conducting extensive surveillance across the Kathmandu Valley, police confirmed that illegal gold transactions were occurring at a rented property in Upper Bhangal. On Thursday evening, a specialized team executed a raid on the premises to halt the operation. This intervention highlights ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to address organized criminal activities within the capital region, specifically focusing on the smuggling and processing of precious metals by foreign nationals.
