The Kazakhstani Ministry of Healthcare implemented updated protocols for emergency medical services on October 13, 2026. A primary feature of these new regulations is the integration of geolocation technology, which allows patients to monitor the real-time location and progress of dispatched ambulance crews. This system is designed to function through an automated medical dispatch platform that transmits tracking data once a vehicle is assigned to a call. Despite the formal adoption of these rules, officials from the Ministry of Healthcare have clarified that the nationwide rollout of this tracking capability is not yet fully operational. Gulnara Sarsenbayeva, a department director within the ministry, confirmed that while the legal framework for this innovation is in place, the technical implementation across all regions remains a work in progress.
