The International Institute for Management Development (IMD) has placed Kazakhstan 38th in its latest World Competitiveness Ranking. This annual assessment evaluates how effectively countries foster environments that support sustainable business and economic growth. The methodology integrates statistical data with surveys conducted among executives, analyzing four primary pillars: infrastructure, government efficiency, economic performance, and business efficiency. According to the IMD report, Kazakhstan demonstrated notable strengths in several specific areas, securing the 9th position in tax policy, 19th in international trade, and 20th in labor market conditions. These results reflect the nation's progress across twenty distinct sub-categories evaluated by the institute to determine overall national competitiveness on the global stage.
