The Nepali Army has successfully installed a 74-meter Bailey bridge over the Phalakhu River in Betrawati, ending a 47-day transport disruption in Rasuwa. The previous infrastructure was destroyed by severe flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in late August, which halted trade with China and restricted access to popular destinations. The restoration of this vital road link has allowed visitors to return to Langtang and the Gosainkunda pilgrimage site during the peak travel season. Local officials anticipate that the resumption of vehicular movement will revitalize the regional tourism industry and stabilize essential trade routes that had been severed for nearly seven weeks.
