The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is currently managing a series of cyber threats targeting several Philippine government institutions. The National Computer Emergency Response Team has identified and is actively addressing unauthorized entry into the Department of Migrant Workers' website, a defacement incident at the Department of Labor and Employment, and a suspected ransomware strike against the Philippine Ports Authority. In reaction to these security lapses, the DICT has initiated emergency protocols, collaborating closely with the affected agencies' technical departments. Joint teams are presently working to reinforce access controls and isolate compromised systems to prevent further damage and restore operational integrity across the impacted government digital infrastructure.
