The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that 49 minors were rescued from situations involving cyber threats as of September. PNP Chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that these interventions were made possible through improved collaboration with educational institutions, social services, and local families. Following recent incidents of violence in schools, the police force has implemented new directives to enhance safety for students and staff. These measures include proactive engagement with schools and efforts to identify individuals involved in online grooming. Furthermore, police operations have led to the confiscation of firearms that posed a risk to the safety of minors. The PNP continues to prioritize the protection of students by encouraging early reporting and maintaining strong communication channels with the community to prevent further harm.
