The General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority, known as Damaan, reported a rise in its managed investment assets to 133.5 billion Qatari riyals for 2025. This figure marks a 3.4% annual growth compared to the 129 billion riyals recorded in 2024, as detailed in the state’s Internal Achievements Book 2025–2026. This financial expansion is part of a broader strategy aimed at bolstering the long-term sustainability of the nation's pension and social insurance systems. By diversifying its portfolios and seeking new investment opportunities, the authority intends to ensure it can consistently fulfill its future obligations to retirees and insured individuals. The growth underscores Damaan's ongoing commitment to strengthening the financial foundation of these funds through improved management practices and strategic asset allocation.
