The Shura Council of Qatar officially inaugurated the first meeting of its second ordinary session, marking the 55th annual assembly, at the Tamim bin Hamad Hall. During the proceedings, Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanem commended the recent address provided by the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. The Speaker noted that the Amir’s remarks effectively articulated the nation's strategic domestic and foreign policies while addressing significant global matters. Furthermore, al-Ghanem acknowledged the government's recent progress in supporting national interests and the welfare of the citizenry. The session also involved the election of various committee heads. In his concluding remarks, the Speaker expressed appreciation to the council members for their ongoing dedication to fulfilling their legislative and oversight duties in service to the state.
