Robert Joseph de Claro has concluded his tenure as president and CEO of the Social Security System (SSS), leaving the organization in a robust financial state. According to an official statement, the pension fund achieved record asset levels and increased investment reserves during his leadership. Data from June 2026 indicates that total assets reached P1.35 trillion, representing a 7.6 percent rise from the P1.25 trillion recorded in December 2025. This growth of P94.9 billion highlights the institution's improved earnings and its enhanced capacity to fulfill long-term obligations to members and pensioners. The SSS emphasized that these financial gains ensure the continued delivery of benefits to its beneficiaries and their families, maintaining the fund's overall resilience.
