The Third Division of the Sandiganbayan is set to conduct a hearing this Thursday at 8:30 a.m. to address a motion filed by former speaker Martin Romualdez. The motion requests that he be permitted to stay in the hospital while remaining under the custody of the court. According to court clerk Dennis Pulma, the judiciary has issued subpoenas for the medical professionals currently treating Romualdez at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center. By requiring the physicians to testify, the court aims to obtain firsthand information regarding his health status before making a final decision on whether to grant the request for continued confinement in a medical facility.
