Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has formally congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for reaching a historic milestone as the longest-serving head of government in Italy since the end of World War II. In a formal message, Mirziyoyev commended Meloni’s dedication to safeguarding Italian national interests and enhancing the nation's diplomatic standing within the European Union during a period of global instability. The Uzbek leader also highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Tashkent and Rome, expressing gratitude for Meloni's commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation. Meloni, who assumed office in October 2022 as Italy's first female prime minister, surpassed the previous record by reaching 1,413 days in power. The correspondence concluded with well wishes for the Prime Minister's personal health and the continued prosperity of the Italian population.
