Data released by the Saudi Central Bank indicates a notable rise in electronic commerce activity within the Kingdom. Mada card transactions for online purchases reached SR37.6 billion in July 2026, marking an 11.8 percent increase from the SR33.6 billion recorded in June. On an annual basis, these sales grew by 26 percent compared to July 2025. Furthermore, the second quarter of 2026 saw a total of SR101.4 billion in e-commerce transactions, reflecting a 3.1 percent rise over the first quarter of the same year and a 32.3 percent increase compared to the second quarter of 2025. These figures highlight the ongoing expansion of digital payment methods and consumer reliance on online shopping platforms across Saudi Arabia.
