The remains of 28-year-old former flight lieutenant KM Tahsif Souri were retrieved from the Turag River in Dhaka on Wednesday. Initially discovered as an unidentified corpse, the victim was later recognized by investigators using a mobile phone recovered alongside the body. River Police officials confirmed that the former officer had been reported missing one day prior to the discovery. The body has since been transported to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital mortuary for further procedures. Superintendent of Police Abdullah Al Mamun stated that the identification process relied on the electronic device found at the scene. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing following the recovery of the body by the River Police.
