Beginning October 30, the Social Security System will initiate the distribution of financial aid under the expanded Uplift program managed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. This initiative provides a total of P8,000 to qualified members whose monthly salary credit is P10,000 or less. According to SSS President and CEO Victor Alfonso Limlingan, the funds will be released in four installments of P2,000 each, deposited directly into the beneficiaries' official disbursement accounts. This program expansion represents a collaborative effort between the SSS and the DSWD to provide further economic support to low-income workers, building upon previous assistance measures that previously covered members with monthly salary credits of up to P20,000.
