Two directors of the automotive firm William’s Auto Pte Ltd have received prison sentences and substantial financial penalties for orchestrating a tax evasion scheme spanning six years. Ang Ngoh Tee and Ang Chai Heng were found guilty of concealing income and failing to report Goods and Services Tax (GST) between 2013 and 2019. The pair facilitated the fraud by directing cash payments from vehicle services into a private bank account, effectively bypassing corporate reporting requirements. Following their conviction on September 17, 2026, both individuals were ordered to serve between five and six months in jail. Additionally, each director must pay a fine of S$812,795 for their involvement in the illegal financial activities, which included money laundering to hide the undeclared revenue from tax authorities.
