A district court in Seoul has dismissed a legal challenge brought by 88 Tesla vehicle owners who sought reimbursement for the company's Full Self-Driving (FSD) software package. The plaintiffs argued that the automaker failed to deliver on the promised capabilities of the driver-assistance technology. However, the court determined that Tesla did not violate its contractual agreements. The presiding judge noted that the FSD option was never marketed as a system capable of operating entirely without human oversight. Furthermore, the court concluded that the manufacturer had successfully delivered several of the features outlined in the software bundle, thereby fulfilling its obligations to the customers. Consequently, the request for full refunds was denied, marking a significant legal setback for the group of owners who challenged the company's advertising and performance claims regarding its autonomous driving suite.
