South Korean legislators have introduced several bills aimed at bolstering the national economy and industrial competitiveness. Representative Oh Sae-hee of the Democratic Party of Korea has proposed the Special Act on Fostering New Security Innovative Enterprises to provide investment support for small and medium-sized businesses operating within strategic security sectors. Meanwhile, Representative Kim Sung-won from the People Power Party has submitted an amendment to the Special Act on the Promotion of Growth and the Strengthening of Competitiveness of Middle-Standing Enterprises, which suggests a grace period for mid-sized firms transitioning into larger conglomerates. Additionally, a pending amendment to the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act, introduced by Representative Oh Gi-hyoung, remains under consideration. These legislative efforts reflect ongoing parliamentary initiatives to refine the regulatory framework for business development and financial market operations in South Korea.
