The nation achieved higher mean scores in science, mathematics, and reading compared to 2022, with the country recognized as the fastest-improving in reading over the last ten years. Dy acknowledged that these academic gains were achieved despite significant systemic challenges, such as overcrowded classrooms, resource constraints, and heavy administrative burdens. He emphasized that the influence of educators extends well beyond the classroom, as they play a vital role in shaping the character and future prospects of the youth. While noting that further efforts are required to enhance the national education system, Dy expressed gratitude to teachers for their commitment to fostering student success and contributing to the country’s long-term development.
